PRAYER - On improvement of our speech

All-good God and Father, my Creator. Through the depths of my existence and with the speech which I have as a Divine Gift from You, so that I can be like You in my manifestations on earth, more and more each day, as a Mental, Living Image and Reflection of You, I pray You, forgive me.

Forgive me for those times when I have made a wrong use of Your Gift and have by my speech wounded my Brothers, have humiliated them, have caused them pain, have insulted them, and, generally, have not helped them. I pray You, for any improper words which have issued from my lips in the course of my life and which are not fitting for a Creation of Yours and which have defiled the Beauty of Your Creation and have disturbed the balance of Love. Forgive my ignorance, Father, and teach me how to use my speech to help, to guide, to comfort, to relieve, and to teach what I have learnt from You, constantly manifesting my Love and reverence for You and my Brother-neighbour, until my speech, rising up and improved in quality, is united with Your Logos. Amen.

This prayer is found at the end of the teaching titled "Logos of God - Speech of Man" in the book THE ROAD (1985) written by the author Dionysis Dorizas.
