(…) Christ’s command “Love one another” concentrated all the functions, the theories, and the teachings which Man must apply if he is to enter into the deeper meaning of the Law of Love, whose Essence holds together the Cosmoses of the Universe, and, consequently, must also hold together men in all their manifestations. It was given by Christ in order to demonstrate to Man the immediate necessity of the restoration of unity and of communication of men through Love, which in these words seems to be the instruction and the objective at one and the same time.

The Teaching of Christ introduced Determinism into the

Life of man by virtue of which man can advance and raise up his life towards God, thus making good the disharmony which he has caused for centuries now by his mistaken choices and actions and his limited Consciousness in the light of which he functions and manifests himself.

ΑThis Teaching, of which the foundation-stone was Jesus himself with His Sacrifice and Resurrection, was condensed in three words which contain in themselves all the Laws which Christ revealed: “Love one another”.

Christ walked upon the earth, taught, sacrificed himself, rose from the dead, thus demonstrating all the ways in which man can love and can serve his neighbour in the best way, with service which does not seek recompense, has no selfishness in it, but operates through real Love, which manifests service as a natural function of Existence.

All men love something. All manifest qualities of love in dif fering directions and towards differing persons, but none of these loves corresponds to or fulfils the command of Christ, as Christ laid it down, because the Love which Christ taught and demonstrated and urged us to manifest is not a limited love, but Divine Love, which elevates and perfects everything to which it is offered.

Love is the Divine Creative manifestation, it is the Idea of Existence in the Divine Mind, it is the One quality in the Supreme Being, One with the Being which is Love. Love, then, is God.

Through the course of the centuries, many men have from time to time contended about the Unattainable Perfection of Christ and the impossibility of mastering and fully implementing His Teaching.

This is absurd and totally untrue. Christ, God who walked on the earth, taught Love directly, demonstrating that Love knows no fears, Ιt knows no weaknesses and obstacles. It flows in all things, is accessible for all things, and perfects everything which is not at the height of Its perfection.

The difference between the Love which Christ taught, Divine Love, and human love is that Divine Love is broad and Unlimited, Impersonal, and All-embracing towards whatever exists, whereas, on the contrary, human love is based on personality and is limited, self-seeking, and unstable-variable.

Human love is imperfect because it aims at gain and its deeper causes lie always in selfishness. One person, for example, loves his children in order to feel them his own, and another loves his home because it is his own, just as someone else loves his car because it serves him, and by means of it people admire or need him.

However, usually they do not love what is displeasing to them, because simply it is unintelligible to them to love something which they do not like, something which they do not consider their own.

But which of those things which exist on the planet at this moment does not belong to man? And what of all this unhappiness does not come from him?

There is, therefore, nothing which does not belong to man, which is not his creation, and, consequently, the universality of Love, Love in its broadest sense, always goes along with the Consciousness, with the depth and the height in accordance with which we examine things.

The fact, therefore, that you have something of your own also presupposes responsibility, and without this sense of responsibility, which comes from the breadth of Consciousness, Love is restrictive, partial, a type of cult, a dogma, and emotion.

In reality, there is one Love, Divine Love, and all the other manifestations of Love are derived from the distance a person is away from the Truth.(…)

(…) Christ is the Model of Love, because He exists before the Idea. He is Its Creator and the manifestation of the Essence of Love in Form. (...)

(…) But how are we to attract the Divine Love which will activate us? We shall address ourselves to Its Source, where Its Divine Waters well up timelessly and go forth to nurture everything with life. We shall turn towards God Love, towards God Mercy and we shall detach our mind from whatever is lower and imperfect.

Constant contemplation of the Divine will attune us to higher qualities of vibrations of Love, and nourished by these we shall become bearers of the Love of God, bearers of Deity without any Beginning, which through us will be manifested as Selfsame Love, making us bearers of the Presence of the Model of Love, Blessings in movement on earth.

This is a movement based on the Consciousness of Divine Love, which, when we manifest it through attunement with the Divine, helps us to arrive at the fulfilment of the command: “Love your enemies, bless those who curse you” (Matt. 5:44).

Attunement with the Divine raises man up from earthly, material states, and his capacity increases, precisely because, on the one hand, he accomodates in proportion to the height from which he examines things, and, on the other, he cannot collide with what is standing below him.(…)

However, it does not cease to be a general command which without fail had to be analysed if it is to become more accessible to those who wish to go more deeply into the matter of Love in the journey to Perfection by the Spiritual way, the Model of which was the Master Jesus Himself and which every man must follow, because it is the only road which can advance Man by giving him life spiritually, so that he is able to detach himself from the limited intellectual quests which trap him in the labyrinthine pathways of his intellectual conceptions.

In this way He analysed the Greatest Universal Divine Law of Love, providing the first clarifications as to the correct direction which the manifestation, every manifestation of Love by Man must take:

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: you shall love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets” (Matt. 22:37-40).

Man manifests love in various directions, in various qualities, which, however, are not all correct, because they do not create anakyklosis in the Flow of Love, and, consequently, wastes Its potential, which exists within him imparted by the Father God, in sources which do not contain and do not manifest Divine Love, so as in this way to nourish man and to endow him with the fullness and the peace of Absolute Harmony which inevitably is called forth when the direction of Love is the correct one.

For this reason, man must first of all love God, as Jesus described it: “with all the heart, soul, and mind”. It is impossible for man to evolve if he cannot love Him who created him, his Begetter, who is his Principle, the cause of his Existence, the Source from which he came and was created in Its Image and Likeness, and so bears within him Its Essence, the Essence of the Father God.

When man loves God in this way, then his anakyklosis takes place in the Infinite Source of Love of his Creative Principle, which is none other than the Essence itself which is inherent in his Being, the Essence of God, God Himself, who lives within him as Spirit, as Life.

Thus he demonstrates the necessary manifestation of Love towards the things above, towards his Spiritual Heavens, in the Kingdom of Absolute Ideas, which flow from the Infinite Mind of the Father, and undergoes anakyklosis with the Absolute Principle, without, however, being able to be united unless he first restores and fulfils the second command, which, as He says, is like the first in its gravity.

“And the second is like it, you shall love your neighbour as yourself.” Christ in His Teaching showed thoroughly the Universality and the Impersonal Nature of Divine Love, in saying that there is neither man nor woman, Greek or Roman, but we are all children of the Same God, and here He says clearly that we should not love our neighbour as an earthly mother or father, as a brother or cousin, as our child or as our friend, but He quite clearly and absolutely shows forth the correct direction of Love towards our neighbour as towards ourself.

ΝYou must love your neighbour as yourself, He said, thus laying the foundations for man to be able today, when he has a more expanded apprehension than in the times of the First Coming, to understand that man and God are One Self and, consequently, man must love his neighbour as Himself, that is, as he must love God.

For this reason, we can say today that the two commands which Christ laid down in essence mean: you must love with the whole of your heart and the whole of your soul and the whole of your mind both God and Man as a Single Self; Yourself.
